Rwandans were travelling in two buses which were impounded in Muhanga town.
Uganda deported some 72 Rwandan nationals on Monday evening for being in the country illegally.
According to the authorities 41 men, 20 women and 11 children were taken into custody for lacking travel documents.

The authorities lead by Rukiga district commissioner Mr Emmy Ngabirano then escorted the Rwandans back to their country through the Katuna border post.
Some of them told Ugandan security officials that they had come in search of casual jobs.
Mr Ngabirano warned that illegal migrants will be arrested and deported.
He advised transporters to stop ferrying foreigners without the necessary travel documents to avoid being inconvenienced.
Rwandans are allowed in Uganda as long as they possess a national identity card.
