Kenyan court finds 3 guilty in Garissa University terror attack

- The magistrate found that the Garissa University College attack was done to coerce the Kenyan government to remove its troops from Somalia.
A Kenyan court has acquitted one suspect and found three others guilty of planning the April 2, 2015 Garissa University College terror attack.
Nairobi Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi on Wednesday ruled that there was insufficient evidence to link Sahal Diry Hussein to the attackers or any of the accused persons.

But there was sufficient evidence to show that Mohamed Ali Abdikar, Hassan Aden Hassan and Rashid Charles Mberesero participated in plotting and executing of the attack that left 148 dead. Those kille din the attack were mainly students, university staff and several police officers.
The three were convicted and the magistrate set the sentencing for July 3, 2019.
