Ministry says number of infections is likely to keep rising.
Kenya hit a record high for new coronavirus cases on Wednesday after 184 cases were confirmed in 24 hours, pushing the tally to 4,044.
Health Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) Rashid Aman said the new cases were recorded from 2,518 samples.
"We are likely to see more larger numbers of positive cases," he warned, urging Kenyans to observe hygiene and the safety measures advised by the Ministry of Health.
Of the 184 new cases, 129 are men and 55 are women.
Dr Aman added that 27 more people have been discharged, bringing total recoveries to 1,353.
Two more patients died raising the death toll to 107, he added.
The Health ministry reported that 548 coronavirus patients are admitted in various hospitals across the country, with five of them in critical condition. Of the five, three are on ventilators and two need supplemental oxygen.
The ministry raised concern over several testing kits flooding the market, with officials urging Kenyans to only get tested using the PCR test at designated testing centres.
The PCR test identifies the presence of the virus on those that turn out positive, while other tests are based on antibodies, it added.
