Kagame: I’m not grooming my daughter to succeed me

Rwandan President Paul Kagame says he is not grooming his daughter Ange Ingabire to succeed him, dismissing the idea as a narrative born out of “pettiness and politics that belong to the dustbin."
Speaking at the 18th Unity Club – a platform of current and former Cabinet ministers, senior government officials, and their spouses – in Kigali, Kagame said the rumours were beginning to concern him.
