Congo celebrates US sanctions on RDF as Rwanda pushes back

The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has welcomed US sanctions on Rwanda’s military, as Kigali denounced the move as “unjust”.
On Monday the US Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (Ofac) sanctioned the Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) and four senior officers for backing the M23 rebel group in operations on Congolese territory.
