Cameroon's long-serving President Paul Biya is facing an unpredictable political future as high-profile members of his government resign to contest against him in the October 2025 election.
On Tuesday, Tourism and Leisure minister Bello Bouba Maigari announced he was stepping down from his Cabinet position to concentrate on his presidential bid, becoming the second Biya ally from the northern region to enter the race.
