Despite generating an estimated $341.2 million annually, Kenya’s film industry continues to lose its home audience to Nigeria’s Nollywood, the world’s second-largest film producer by volume.
Valued at about $660 million in 2021, Nollywood produces more than 2,500 films a year, according to the Film Distributors Association.
