When I meet Theresa Musoke for our interview, it is after a couple of reschedules, as she is usually very busy. A few days earlier, we had spoken during the launch of her exhibition at the Circle Art Gallery titled The Presence of Living Things, a retrospective look into the works of life that span over six decades.
There is a myriad of everything art, from etchings to linographs from as early as 1960. What we are looking at is a monument of art - old, unbent, bubbly and boisterous and, if the records on display are anything to go by, she is perhaps the most written-about visual artist in East Africa.
