Visa-free Africa still a pipedream -AfDB report

In 2013, the African Union adopted Agenda 2063, a collective vision and roadmap for the next 50 years that committed nations to speed up plans to introduce an African passport, capitalising on the global migration towards e-passports, with the ultimate goal of abolishing visa requirements for Africans in African countries by 2018.

But now the Africa Development Bank’s Africa Visa Openness Report 2016 shows that two years to the deadline, only 13 out of the 55 African countries offer free access to African nationals.
