Uganda is mulling a smaller budget envelope for the 2025/26 financial year, amid surging public debt and rising election fever as technocrats struggle to balance spending priorities with multiple funding gaps.
But its peers, Kenya and Tanzania, have announced expanded expenditure plans even in the face of similar challenges.
