Somalia has pledged to protect its maritime resources, contribute to overall security of its waters and attract investors to what it sees as a $2 billion sector.
At the First Somalia Maritime Conference concluded on Wednesday, a communique affirmed the country’s commitment to strengthening maritime security, advancing the Blue Economy, and sustainably developing Somalia’s vast marine resources.
