Ethiopian Airlines, one of Africa’s largest and fastest-growing airlines, has announced the launch of Air Congo in partnership with the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) government.

As part of the partnership, the DRC government will hold a 51 percent majority stake in the newly launched Air Congo, while Ethiopian Airlines will retain a 49 percent stake, according to a statement issued late Tuesday by Ethiopia’s national airline.
