Airtel raises mobile money limit to $3,475 after Safaricom move

Airtel has more than tripled the daily transaction limits on its mobile money platform Airtel Money, coming just a day after dominant rival Safaricom received regulatory approval to effect similar changes.
Airtel said effective Tuesday, customers would be allowed to deal Ksh500,000 ($3,475) daily up from the previous limit of Ksh300,000 ($2,085) while the limit per transaction was retained at Ksh150,000 ($1,042).
