The NBA 2019-20 season went on hiatus on March 11 with the league’s playoffs just a few weeks away. On July 30, the Association will finally return to action four and a half months after it was put on pause. In June, the NBA’s Board of Governors worked out the league’s return plan to finish out the current campaign with 22 of the 30 teams battling for the NBA Championship. The NBA’s return has created a lot of buzz among basketball fans and supporters are debating which of the 22 teams will make it to the NBA Finals. Basketball fans can get a bonus for betting on sports when the NBA returns and wager on the teams they believe will win when the season restarts.

The restart will see some tweaks to the NBA schedule and differ from the usual basketball competition fans know. For starters, all games will be played in Orlando at the Walt Disney World Resort. Teams are already on hand training and preparing for the NBA’s restart. With tip-off just days away, questions still remain over what the league’s return will look like on July 30?

Which teams will play in the restart?

The NBA features 30 teams, but only 22 have been invited to participate in the NBA’s restart of the 2019-20 campaign. Nine teams from the NBA’s Eastern Conference and 13 teams from the Western Conference will take part. Why are only 22 teams playing in the NBA’s return?
