We can come up with new tools if farmers learn to invest in agriculture

AGE: 51 EDUCATION: He is a plant biologist with a PHD from the University of Zimbabwe and a master’s degree from the University of Wales. He obtained his first degree in agriculture from Makerere University. EXPERIENCE: He was the head of the post-harvest research handling programme in Uganda between 1988 and 2009, has been chairman of the National Experts Committee at the Africa Rice Centre and was director of the National Agricultural Research Laboratories in Kawanda. He also participated in the zoning of agriculture production, processing and marketing in Uganda.
