Kenya's Harambee Stars Sunday beat Ethiopia 3-0 in Nairobi to virtually secure their place in next year's Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) tournament in Cameroon.

Michael Olunga opened the scoring for Kenya in the 23rd minute before Erick Omondi netted the second three minutes later.

Stars' skipper Victor Wanyama rounded up the good day against the visitors with a penalty shot in the 67th minute.

Have a date

The Group F win will take Kenya to Cameroon if the Fifa ban on Sierra Leone is not lifted. Should the ban be lifted, Kenya will still be in contention against the group favourites Ghana.

Kenya pipped Ghana 1-0 in Nairobi and still have a date with the Black Stars away.
