Kenya to review laws to suit Common Market

Some countries like Kenya use the Cabinet for ratifications. In other countries like Tanzania, the protocol is taken to Parliament.

Once endorsed, the relevant authority will then deposit instruments of ratification with the Secretary-General.

This communication is relayed by the Foreign Affairs Ministry after being notified by the partner state’s EAC Ministry.

Upon doing that, the protocol takes effect.
