By being seen to be working closely with the US to fight Al-Shabaab, don’t you think Kenya could become a target of other international terrorists groups?
Again, we are not working with the US against Al-Shabaab.
The US has its own views against Al-Shabaab. What we are doing is for our own interests, not that of the US.
Last time, Kenya was criticised internationally for closing its border to Somalia at the behest of US. Are we ready for the same?
The border is still closed and will remain closed until such a time we see no threats of infiltration from Somalia.
It should be clear that we don’t close the border on behalf of anybody.
