Mr Mohamed said with the Rwandan economy poised to grow, the government appreciated that a rise in demand for energy-sector services and products posed great challenges, which Hashi Empex was in a position to meet.

Hashi Empex is a privately-owned company whose core business is the import, export, distribution and marketing of petroleum products in East Africa.

It has invested in petroleum imports and exports, bulk trading, petroleum depots, distribution and service stations.

Hashi Empex has associate companies in Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Southern Sudan.

It operates petroleum depots in Mombasa, Nairobi, Kisumu, Eldoret and Jinja in Uganda.
