The mirage is thus dangled in the sky as a trial balloon and all and sundry can take pot-shots at it and puncture it before it flies.

In the process, those who may have harboured funny ideas may just bite the bait and be exposed.

So which is which?

Are we looking at the accomplished handiwork of the masters of disinformation sending out a Trojan horse, or is this the effort of courageous if totally unknown patriots, effectively saying, we have the vessel ready, we need a captain — much like a bark looking for its dog?

There has been so much dissention within the ruling party that a move to get rid of some of the more irritating legislators has been mooted.

Is CCJ, then, the dissidents’ way of saying, just you dare!?
